The production of tea leaves involves large estates and smallholder tea owners. Tea sales are purchased by tea factories through small tea estate owners and tea in large tea estates is taken from factories for tea related products.
6.2.4 Other Crops
• Coconut cultivation


There are several areas where coconut plantation can be successfully cultivated. These areas are Karadagolla, Ravana Ella, Dodamgolla, Ilukpelessa, Demodara, Halpe etc. Apart from those Grama Niladari Divisions, coconut cultivation is also very small in other areas.
• Pepper
As a commercial crop in tea estates, pepper cultivation is done in other areas, apart from the few, as a commercial cultivation.
• Fruit cultivation
Various fruits are available in the 32nd domains. Mango, bananas, avocados, fruits are found in every domain.

Insecticides, use of fertilizer

• Cattle control

There are 640 dairy cows in the cow. The daily production of milk is 3185 liters, which is not sufficient for the milk requirement of the households. Maduragama Animal Husbandry takes the lead in the diver's animal farm. The milk produces yoghurt and fresh milk produced in the division and most fresh milk is sold in milk.
