The Ella Divisional many beautiful landscapes in the country. It has a beautiful and beautiful environment.
This area has become a tourist attraction for waterfalls, fertile fields and beautiful natural habitats of tea estates.

Agriculture is a human environment that has been engaged in various livelihood activities. Agriculture is engaged in carrying out the anomalies in each area in the Divisional Secretariat area and in addition those who are engaged in environmental related activities also live in these areas. In the meantime, sand mining and sand mining around quarries are largely carried out here.
Accordingly, there are 13 license stones in the Ella Divisional Secretariat Division, of which 19 are operating period. The rocks are located in the following manner.
Area is the number

Sanding is also prevalent in DS divisions and the number of license sand buckets is 23. Sand mining is mainly done in areas such as Demodara, Karagolla, Kumbalwela, Dowa, Halpe, Naula and Pupula Western Divisions.
In addition, timber felling occurs in most of the spheres of the environment. It is a regrettable fact that the restoration of trees in relation to tree felling is very low.
This has resulted in many environmental issues in the Ella Divisional Secretariat Division.
• Lack of adequate formal space for garbage disposal
• There is no proper procedure to discharge garbage in areas such as Namunukula and Ella. Also, the place where the garbage disposal is located in the Ella town is not a proper place for this purpose, but there is a problem of getting a proper place and getting these places cleared from these institutions.

• Damage to forests during dry weather
• Cultivation activities in relation to catchment areas and forest reserves
• Disposal of garbage into the cure of the water city center and release of waste water disposal systems to hotels.

• Archeological threats
• Damage caused by the construction of buildings without the scientific process on either side of the Kirindi Oya
